Family

Newlyweds Cindy and David Butler with Cindy's great Aunt Doris.

I might be a second cousin or a cousin once removed i can never remember what it is. Cindy is my cousin Linda's girl on my Dad's side.

We attended their Open House here in Gilbert. They were married in the Bountiful LDS Temple and will continue to live in Lehi, UT.

Cute couple.

Tommorrow I leave for New York City!

Oso y Earthquakes

Here is a letter from Elder Dan.

Well this week has been good. kind of. we got oso all week. oso means bear, but it´s like getting ditched basically. yeah. this week was not too good. we had to run dario´s fecha, so this change will be sin bautismo, which is fine, but this sector has been baptismless for 4 changes or something wild. so we´re trying. dario is still good though, progressing, so we´ll have a baptism after changes. iris too, but she´s been out of town for a while. so bummer. i bought some classical music last pday, so that is amazing. juan perez, the legit old cop, gave us some ties. he´s a man and a half, and his stories are nuts. but he´s still con viviendo.... so bummmmer for him... it sucks ´cause he wants to be baptized so bad, but in his situation he can´t. his seƱora receives a pension from her old husband, and she uses it to support her kids, and doesn´t want to marry juan ´cause she´ll lose it. struggles man. i got my carnet, or chilean ID, today. so basically i´m chilean, which is thrilling. umm pig fever? swine flu? what´s that all about. people are quite bothered down here. i hear mexico took a huge hit. in other natural disaster news; there was a minor eathquake. exciting, i know. we´re all anxiously anticipating "the big one". every 5-7 years chile has an eathquake. it´s been 8, and according to the cycle of things, this is supposed to be a giant one. i´m hyped. in other news: i´m 168 lbs. WHAT THE HECK.

love you guys.

dad, temple work is radical.
allison, way to go with maria and school, you rock.
mom, "do you realize that you are a champion in my eyes" - kanye west.
rae, you didn´t write me. but thats ok. keep it legit.
david, david david david david. write me fool. you´re my only brother. i´ve got 2 sisters and 2 parents, but only 1 brother. so write me!

Ian

-- an old (and getting older) Mother's Day present to me as well.

Ian Kelly

Our beloved Cradle robber... did it have to be New York City!?

Are you kiddin' me? Of course.

......................

Yankee fan, city boy-- yet seems to fit right in with our family somehow.
Yup.

Uh, all too well?
Maybe that should have worried us.
Nope.

Now we can't figure out how we ever managed without him around.

You have to click on this one and see him close up. really

WE LOVE YOU IAN

Just some fun with friends....

....and I got to be inducted into the Nursing Honor Society at the same time!!
Here is a handful of my classmates at Lehman College here in the Bronx. Only 9 of us got inducted, and it was a great honor not to mention a fun ceremony. Actually the highlight of the evening was....IAN. Yep you heard it- my friends loved him:) He had them laughing all night (dinner was served), took all their photos for them, and got some "aw"s about what a cute couple we were (only from the girliest of my friends) :). Needless to say they were asking if he had any brothers by the end of the night. What a cutie.....
He's a fabulous guy and I have to spread the love especially since it was his birthday yesterday (Happy Birthday Ian!). Born on Mother's Day; who won't love a gift like him:)

For any of you (okay, Mom mostly:) who would like to see a really nice tribute to Ian on his b-day you can check his sister's blog- really, it's really nice (she's a great writer too). That way you can all see what a catch I've got :)

Happy days here! Can't wait for my family's visit!

All About Ducks

Hmm... lots of thoughts to maybe blog-running through my head today- which is unusual. Maybe it is because I finally got some sleep. So instead of going on about one topic I will give a single sentence at this time on several. Probably.

My Hollyhocks are 10 feet tall.

Is 85 degrees a good pool temperature and what is the proper ph and chlorinne level?

I harvested a zuchinni AND a tomato. (it has now gotten too hot to set fruit)

I burned the soles of my feet today--one really has to give up going barefoot in this land too.

I am on a rampage and need to be sure and warn David of that when he gets home from school.

Speaking of David-Best Welder of the Year (and for 16 years) award!!

I really don't enjoy talking on the phone. I want to. I listen. I try. but i just feel no good at it. I think this goes for small talk in general as well.
Sorry Danny, mike, connie...

"Every minute of everyday I am thankful he is where he is- doing what he is doing"

I miss my sister.

Ian had a birthday. Happiness to him!

If I help Rae return all these packages will I be bailing her out of a problem that she herself needs to fix?? and do I do that too much with all my children anyway?

Mothers day... what have i failed to teach my children and what have I taught? This is where Ducks come in. (see link below) More on that later.

I loved the new Star Trek Movie. It was fun. And why didn't I see it with the Handy's?

I miss Allison. Lots of stuff going on there.
