Not so Handy

Speaking of not cooking. I fried my hand taking a hot mug of water from the microwave, not a highly skilled move. I packed it in ice (see photo) and it is amazingly, much better. My Mom prayed hard so I guess it wasn't so amazing.

Allison rocks

Allison was a great add to our family band. Rock Band that is. We have a mike stand now so you can sing while you play the quitar or drums

My desert blog could consist of only-- Mom in her chair and my kids on rock band. I need only add a picture of keiths empty office chair.

Grilled cheese

I have had a lingering cold and I think that has zapped my desire to do anything, like post a blog entry for instance.

I am trying to strike a deal with Keith that I will drive him to the airport at 6 am if he will plan the weeks menu and go grocery shopping. His ideas include pancakes, frozen lasagna, and grilled cheese sandwiches. I think he may need to drive himself.

Mom needs to change her medication to adjust to this climate, the Dr. thinks that will help. (salt levels in her blood, from her blood pressure medicine, had dropped radically) All the tests, including the ct skan, were good, very good in fact.

Mom

My Mom has been feeling poorly. We have been getting some tests done and have and appointment with the doctor again on monday to discuss results. Mom says it is just getting old yet she really wanted to get the tests done.
We made reservatons for her to fly to Idaho for Memorial Day. She will fly home thru SLC on June 1. Keith, David, and I will be on a Pioneer Trek while she is gone.

ALLISON TO ARIZONA

Allison is flying in from New York this thursday evening!

We are all excited to see her.

Oh the places you'll go!!

I know you have missed me, despite mom's wonderful efforts of keeping me alive and well on the blog with her "standing on furniture" and "sitting on furniture with ginger snaps" pictures. A few weekends ago I went on a little Arizona excursion with some good friends (Lara, met through Anasazi-we are bosom friends-Tyler, the first guy I hung out with after the mission (he was home 2 months) and so he has seen me at awkward and his blond buddy Tim who is now my buddy too.)

This car was the first thing we saw as we pulled into Bisbee and then we got this shot at the end of the day as we were touring the town on our way out. If only everyone was this passionate about their beliefs...

Hooray for beautiful friends and being able to capture some of that beauty on film.
Pit stop.
Lara photographing...
...this.
Standing next to the peace wall with some of the famous Bisbee stairs behind (the town is located in a narrow gorge-like valley so houses are built up the hills and there are many stairs).
Up.
Down.
Sad to leave Bisbee, town of wonder and joy.
Finding this tree however, we quickly forgot or sorrow.
It was big.
Sunset + golden grasses + my cowboy hat + 2 photographers (lara & tyler) = very long photo shoot resulting in at least 20 different shots. I deleted most of the ones on my camera.
Lara's turn.
Scenic.
More scenic.
Lara took this.
We did take one with the flash, but I liked this one.
Goodnight.

New Glasses

I told Mom if I was going to take her picture it had to be someplace other than sitting in her chair, so here she is standing in front of the sliding glass doors in her bedroom.

She was laughing quite a bit as you can see in the photos of her with her new glasses on. She also wanted to make sure I got a side view of her sunglasses in the pictures.

Here are also a couple of shots of some of the flowers (I don't think the pics are too good either). But you get the idea.

I ended up doing more than I planned for the Stevensons wedding. Last minute stuff is interesting. But it's done, set up, taken down, but not quite put away. The stressful part is done! Rachel helped alot too, and Shauna, Thanks. FRIDAY!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words.

'Nuff said.

I think I will post these every month or so.

Do My Eyes Deceive Me?

My Mother by the POOL, almost sunbathing? Whew, well at least it is not swimming. I have only seen that once- maybe twice in my whole life! that would really be a shock.

She has her eyes closed with her sunglasses in her hand. I had been skimming the pool and other odd jobs outside and had been trying to convince her to just sit out side in this nice weather we are having right now. I even put a chair right out side her bedroom door . I guess it finally worked! Cute Huh?

Danny and Grandma - Nineteen Cupcakes!

Whaaatt?

Mom can't do dishes really, it hurts her arthritic back too much.

Here are some pictures of the nineteen cupcakes we did for Danny's birthday party. He did manage to get quite a bit of frosting on his face and hands. He was inspired by Owen I think. I was just gonna hose him off but he is bigger than me. I didn't want to get wet.

We went for food at a new place Danny picked. Everyone but my Mom had done Mongolian BBQ before ----------------------What are you eating? I don't know.

We opened presents in the parking lot from the trunk of our car. I think Dan liked the bicycle pump David got for him.

DANNY!!

Happy Birthday Daniel Keith Cutler!

19 years old today.

The bottom picture was taken 14 years ago when you were 5 in Uncle David and Aunt Judy's backyard in Lehi, Utah.
The other Picture was taken in Almo, Idaho in Grandpa Jones' front yard.

Notice the sharks on your t-shirt.
