Bounteous billowing burgeoning bougainvillea blossoms!

This bush at the corner of our house will not be ignored any longer! It is wonderful. You just can't walk by and not go in for a closer look

This massive bunch is trying to escape or take over.
We can no longer get to the sprinkler box that is back there somewhere. Boug does have pretty serious thorns.

Blossom Time

This is some of the Bougainvilla outside my window. Now is when the desert blooms.
Orange and Citrus trees of all kinds are blooming right now. The whole valley is scented with them.

I planted some grape vines this year. We shall see how they do.

Here are the two new citrus trees we also planted. I wanted a lime and a lemon.
This doesn't count as gardening. I gave that up you know.

Sprung

The Pear trees are all in blossom.
It hit 80 degrees this week.
It is definitely spring here in the desert.

I am excited because the audiologist says we may be able to improve Mom' hearing-some.
David is on a scout hike preparing for Philmont this summer.

I think I have located a camera again. We shall see if I get any photos on here.

Spring Again

There-- is that a young man? Look closer.
Ahh -- Yes,there he is--shoulder deep in parts and
covered in grease! (Not really, he is a Cutler after all.)

Notice the cleanliness. This space is cleaner than my house!

This is Heaven for Dave!
Working on the Rover is his idea of BIG FUN!
It is what he chooses to do in his time off from school. This, instead of Southern California, the Beach, and Disneyland.

Where did I go wrong?
I could've been working on my tan!

Spring, as I have misquoted before,
( see "spring" posts feb o8- clic on spring label below)
is when a young man's fancy turns to CARS!

Broken wing

David broke his clavicle in a spectacular desert motorcycle crash on Saturday. He said he just had to beat Michael. That's Michael Naylor to those of you in Colorado.

About 4 or so hours in the emergency room proved what we already knew. It was indeed broken. But he got pretty good pain medicine out of that ordeal anyway.
Right now the brake and sling are a kind of Badge of Honor. That novelty will wear off in a day or so I am sure.

Grandma is very sympathetic.

Rachel empathsizes to the point that she needs to curl up with a blanket too.

Beware the Ides of March

"Rock Band" has taken over my family.

Once again, have you ever heard Keith sing? (his bass guitar is better).
Danny likes to really "get into" his rocking. I am sure you could gather that if you have seen his blog, (if not, go there now and see the picture "jumping for power" at the beach) It 's hard on my furniture and walls.
Rachel's hymn singing doesn't compared to her rock and roll singing. It's great. (Don't tell her.)
David is totally enthralled with the drums! (Good thing My Mom is mostly deaf.)
This is a spring break from what?
help me.

When a young man's fancy turns to....

MUD.

It's Spring!

This family is quite a bit about motorized wheeled things.

No, really?

Here is a taste of what we do here and around.
By the way, the trees are in bloom and it'a 72 degrees.
Concrete and Barbed wire.
